The Future of Internet



Oxford Research and Google organized an event for students in Finland to take a look into the future of the internet together with Vint Cerf. The Vice President and Chief Internet Evangelist Vint Cerf is one of the fathers of the internet.

Over two hundred students from Kymenlaakso region in Finland gathered to listen and discuss about the future of the internet together with one of the founding fathers of the internet, Vint Cerf. The Vice President and Chief Internet Evangelist Vint Cerf has got many prestigious awards, among others the Queen Elizabeth II Engineering Price and the Presidential Medal of Freedom

The seminar was hosted by Head of Free Expression Bill Echikson, who is responsible for Policy and Communications issues in EMEA region for Google. Previously Mr. Echikson has worked as a journalist for the Businessweek and the Wall Street Journal.

CEO Jouni Eho from Oxford Research Finland held the introduction and closure for the event challenging the audience to face the digital revolution with an open and curious mind. "Despite the drastic changes in the labour market, for those young students who have the mind of an explorer, good things will happen."
